Direct Server (FTP) Connection

If you are using dreamweaver I think this is such a powerful tool to quickly update any pages on your website.

1. Open dreamweave and make sure you have the window/tab on the side called 'FILES'. If you cant see this please go to the menu option at the top of the page 'WINDOW' and click on 'FILES' to show this window.
2. Under the files window there are 3 tabs - Files, Assests and Snippets. We are using the files. Click on 'MANAGE SITES'
   
   
   
   
3. Now click on 'NEW'
   
   
   
   
4. After you click on 'NEW' you may see the following message - Click OK.
   
   
   
   
5. Now fill out your FTP information. This will be identicle to how you enter it into your FTP Program or FTP login. Ask you host if you need help with the logon information.
   
   
   
   
6. Press 'DONE' and if it worked correctly then it should start showing all your files on the server. If not go back and try and change the FTP logon information.
7. To update a file just double click on one, make your changes then press 'SAVE' or CTRL + S. Its just that simple!
