Today the boyfriend and I are off for a little vacation time in Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) and boy could we use it. Its been one hell of a month, um actually its been one hell of a life. We traveling with our friend Jared, Aaron, and Christie, and meeting Nick’s parents where we will be camping on the beach. I am so excited. I love to travel and I haven’t been to Mexico since I was like nine and my Dad took me to Tijuana (which probably doesn’t rate next to Rocky Point lol).  So, that is where I will be until Sunday. I am bringing about three different types of sunscreen so hopefully I won’t be too burnt upon return. I also promise lots of pictures.

  

I am truly heartbroken today, earlier in the day I received some very tragic news from Mindy and also Kathy that a good friend from high school passed away the 21st. Her name was Abigail Garcia and she was the most amazing girl I have ever known.
I roughly remember the first time I met Abby, I was a junior in high school and my friend Toni introduced me to her eccentric friend. Abby was a genius, I don’t mean in that she was smart, she was a genius, skipping I think two grades, if I remember correctly (and I may not) she was only twelve or thirteen when she started high school. Of course, that alienated her from a lot of the high school experience but in Abigail Garcia I found a kindred soul. Abby and I shared a love of books, we both knew that books were a life line in a sometimes unreasonable world. In fact, Abby introduced me to Terry Pratchett’s work and I will be forever thankful for that. We shared a love for Harry Potter books and movies. Abby had such a desperate crush on Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) and well, can you blame her?
Abby was probably the loudest, most vivacious girl I ever knew, not afraid to speak her mind, not worried about what anyone thought, and I liked that. She was a showman and boy could that girl tell a story. I honestly have been awaiting her first published work for many years now and it pains me to know that I will always be waiting. Abby and I wrote a play once, it was called Captain Obvious and Private Procrastination: In the Quest For Whirled Peas. It was brilliant let me tell you.
Then graduation came and things change, people go their separate ways and sadly Abby and I lost touch. The last time I saw her was on a night out with Brandon and Gregg which out of the blue she was just there, but time had passed and it breaks my heart that we had lost our eased and crazed conversations of the past.
Abigail Garcia touched my heart, I have never been more amazed and impressed by another human being on the planet I was truly blessed to know her and quite frankly honored. I will miss her dearly and the world seems a little less bright without the Macabre Cucumber. I loved you Abby. (Oh and don’t blame me for any spelling or grammar errors, I am typing through tears here girl!)

  

Oh the months how they go by. I know, I know I have neglected this blog. Well, quite honestly I just haven’t been in the mood. What little news I do have has either made the LJ or the Myspace and that hasn’t been much. I finished classes for the semester (and passed them all thank the gods) and now it is summer which sees me back at my parents working away my summer (which I am ok with because the pay is fantastic). It has been odd being on my own so much I am so used to being in a crowd thanks to school life that the quiet is very welcome. I have even been crafting more (as evident from my Etsy account. However, today I purchased the Big-Ass Book of Crafts (which I could do now that I have money) and I have decided to kick it into high gear I am ready to turn trash to treasure. One of the days I am going to hit up Goodwill for some crap furniture and things to refurbish. I am thinking within the next few weeks. I am very much looking forward to that. I’ll keep you posted on what turns out.

Well, its that time again. The time in which I turn another year older. Thats right the big 22 on March 11. Terrifying as that is. Everyone keeps asking me what I want though and well hell if I know. Really I can’t think of anything. I told my parents that I wanted a sewing machine and cash which is really it. Talking to Ivy I realized I wouldn’t mind a watch. Other then that gift cards are love. I will be ringing it in with a trip to RenFaire with my mates on Sunday and then having dinner with my rents and boyfriend on the actual day. So, very low key.
